Our modern world seems obsessed with looking “perfect”. We are constantly inundated with impossible images that we feel we must strive to be like. As a therapist, I understand how body image issues and issues around food can impact our lives.
My approach to treating body and eating issues is to create a warm and understanding atmosphere, where we work through the shame, guilt, and sadness so often associated with eating disorders. Breaking this cycle can feel hopeless and even terrifying, but therapy can be the path to freeing yourself from the rituals and finding your genuine self.
